I started sewing as a little girl on my grandma’s machine. I loved pretending to make dresses and leotards! When I was in high school I started taking sewing classes, and then did Costume Construction as part of my dance major.

I am a studio owner, mom and seamstress! I get the headaches of finding affordable dance wear that is comfortable and unique to my kids’ style. Which led me to start Gemma Belle. I just felt there was a way to have American-made, handcrafted dance wear that wasn’t mass produced. Why pay so much if 10 other people at your convention will be wearing the same thing?

With us, there’s no mass production. Every piece is hand cut and sewn by me or one of my team members (all 5 of us). Each leo or set is customizable with sleeves, mesh, ruffles & bows to make your dancer feel special and unique!
